Who is the workshop aimed at ?
The Suffolk Landscape photography workshop workshop is aimed at anybody who has a very basic understanding of the manual controls on their Dslr camera right through to people who know how to use their camera and just want to improve their photographic practice. With professional guidance in a relaxed atmosphere throughout the workshop you will learn about composition, getting your images pin sharp to make sure every bit of detail stands out, how to make the most out of natural light, using filters including graduated and neutral density and how to take panoramic shots with your camera.
Throughout the day discussion will take place on the different shooting techniques and the importance of other equipment.
How do we teach on the day?
We keep the group numbers small, on the day and 2 tutors on hand throughout to lead the way, so everybody will get the help that is needed to maximise on your learning from the day.
A car will be essential as during the day you will be responsible for getting yourself from location to location. We are happy to supply you with a map of the location and postcode or coordinates if you prefer but we always try to drive in convoy and as always a sat nav is advisable. We also highly recommend having a Sat Nav with you.
You will need to provide yourself with a snacks and drinks, as due to the locations we will be shooting there will not be the guarantee of shop being near by at all times. We can’t Guarantee we will be near to public toilets at times.
Will you need any filters?
We will be able lend a few of you a very basic ND and Grad kit. This will allow you to experiment with different effects under expert guidance, but if you are interested in landscape photography I would encourage you to invest in a setup.
We can advise you in what kit to get as it can be a little daunting looking at what you may or may not need. We also have a discount code for buying filters, just apply DIBSM10 at the checkout of the Formatt Hitech site. If you have any questions of what setups to look into purchasing feel free to ask
