Studio Lighting Workshop
Saturday 18th August 2018
10:30am till 3:30pm
Jody at the 95th Bomb Group Hospital Museum
After the success of the studio lighting workshop we held in May, we will be holding another at the historic location of the 95th Bomb Group Hospital Museum, near Eye, Suffolk.
The event will include different compositions with our models Jody and Jon in period costume for the hospital surroundings including genuine WW2 vehicles and rooms which offers a very authentic workshop.
The hospital offers us different room scenarios and Jody will be dressing in 1940’s style clothing, including hair and makeup, to make these come alive. Jon will be dressing as a US Airman, from the 95th Bomb group and as a patient.
We aim to create something different with the amazing location, keeping in mind that this was a working hospital for the 95th Bomb Group.
Jody is a great model who specialises in vintage themed photography shoots and will be joined by Jon, who is also very experienced and will be in period costume during the shoot.

Who is the workshop aimed at ?
This workshop is for any photographer, for those that have a very basic understanding of the manual controls of their DSLR camera, right through to photographers that are fully comfortable with manual controls but want to understand how to incorporate artificial lighting into their photography. With our professional guidance in a relaxed atmosphere you will learn about composition, focusing and correctly balancing natural light with artificial light.
The workshop will cover the use of both studio lighting and speedlites off camera and the use of light modifiers to control the artificial lighting.
How do we teach on the day?
We keep the group numbers small, on the day and 3 tutors on hand throughout to lead the way, so everybody will get the help that is needed to maximise on your learning from the day.
We will aim to split the workshop into two groups and swap after lunch, finishing with both models working together in some unique settings in genuine period clothing.
All attendees will receive individual advice and guidance throughout the event but it will delivered be in a group environment. It is not feasible for us to deliver one to one tuition to any one individual for the complete duration of the event and we endeavour to split our time between everybody fairly.
